Petr Cech (Arsenal):
Having conceded four goals against Liverpool last weekend, Cech once again back to his best as he made a number of top class saves to keep the score at 0-0 against the Premier League champions on Saturday.
Luke Shaw (Manchester United):
Having just come back from a lengthy injury lay-off, Luke Shaw is now showing why he is branded as one of the best in England in his position as he put in a mammoth effort against Southampton on Friday.
John Stones (Manchester City):
The man of the match for City in their victory over Stoke on Saturday, John Stones has settled into his life at the Etihad with ease and is now an important part of the squad for Guardiola.
Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal):
Putting in a leader’s performance in his first game of the season, Koscielny showed what the Gunners missed in the first game against Liverpool as he helped his side keep a clean sheet away from home against the Premier League champions.
Matthew Lowton (Burnley):
Put in a strong defensive performance to stop the likes of James Milner and Phillipe Coutinho on the right side of the defense as he managed to hold on to a clean sheet in Burnley’s 2-0 victory over the Reds.
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea):
Showed his class in just 18 minutes on the pitch as he opened the game up for Hazard that resulted in Batshuayi’s goal while provided a mind-boggling ball to Costa for the winner of the game in what was a man of the match performance in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory at the Vicarage Road this weekend.
Steven Defour (Burnley):
Playing for the newly promoted Burnley side on his debut in England, Defour showed his class in the midfield as he managed to frustrate the Liverpool midfield for most of the game and helped his side keep a clean sheet in the 2-0 victory at Turf Moor.
Nolito (Manchester City):
Though not a world class performance, Nolito’s brace in 18 minutes gives him a place in this side. He found himself in the right place at the right time on two occasions and scored two tap-ins as he gave City a 4-1 victory over Stone on the night.
Cristhian Stuani (Middlesbrough):
Scored a stunner to give Boro their first goal of the game in their 2-1 victory over Sunderland and also scored the second in what was a dream debut for Stuani in the Premier League.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United):
Arguably the player of the week, Zlatan, was once again at his best against the Saints at Old Trafford as he gets better and better scoring a brace on his first even game at Old Trafford in the 2-0 victory over Southampton on Friday.
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City):
Scored the other two goals in Manchester City’s 4-1 victory over the Potters and put in a world class performance as he dominated the opponents half with some slick football and classy finishing.
